Blue bead lily is a common and characteristic plant of the northern coniferous region. It grows in rich or moist, mineral or organic, acidic soils. Typically in upland mixed deciduous-coniferous forests, pine forests, spruce-fir forests, aspen forests, lowland hardwood forests. Beautiful glossy leaves, and round blue berries.
